Styling as Brigitte Bardot [

One of my favorite recent projects from my stylist course at school is the coordination of a 1950s or 1960s fashion style using clothes purchased from second-hand shops, which are extremely abundant and popular in Tokyo.
The aim of the project is to choose an iconic figure from that era and recreate their fashion style with a sense of modernity by using clothes that can be found today.
I headed to Kichijouji in Tokyo, where shopping for vintage and second-hand goods are widely popular among young adults in Tokyo, and found a long striped shirt (which I tied a knot to make it into a crop-top), high-waisted scalloped shorts, and a French style scarf all under $50 that I used to recreate the style of French actress, model, and sex icon, Brigitte Bardot.
